       Word War Two in Europe

Smoke from bombing seen from miles away.
This war with the Axis Powers made of aggressors Germany, Japan, and Italy; are fighting against our Allies consisting of England, France, and Russia. This war began when German Chancellor Adolf Hitler decided to invade Poland and Czechoslovakia, which is a violation of the Treaty of Versailles agreed upon at the end of WWI.

On June 22, 1940, our ally France surrendered to Germany thus leaving the British Empire and her Commonwealth as the only country to fight against Germany. At this point in time, Russia isn’t ready to fight against the German nation. Because of this, Germany has put all military effort into defeating the United Kingdom.

German planes have been flying over London nightly and dropping bombs into civilian areas, making it necessary for us to evacuate our children to the surrounding countryside. Some children are being flown to safer places within the Empire. The government has been trying to provide food and shelter to the affected people living in the capital. We ask that all civilians cooperate and help each other to keep safe in these difficult times.

With the addition of Russia, we have been able to fight against the Axis Powers on multiple fronts. After the events of Pearl Harbor, the American decided to join the war on the side of the Allies. The Americans will be focusing on the war in the Pacific Ocean against Japan. Our scientists have been developing a new weapon on American soil that may put an end to this war.

We hope this war will end soon and all the soldiers can go home safely. To make the war end faster we ask that all civilians help with the war effort and resist from hiding food and other supplies.
